When is Piers Morgan back on Good Morning Britain? Fans want outspoken back as soon as possible

It's been a very different Good Morning Britain this week with the absence of a certain outspoken host and fans of Piers Morgan are desperate to have him back on screen.

Piers has been causing plenty of controversy on the ITV show during lockdown, whether its due to him tearing strips off MPs in heated on-air clashes or lashing out at the Government for refusing invitations to put officials up for interview.

Always an opinion dividing character, Piers' behaviour over the past few months has sparked hundreds of comments to Ofcom and even a petition to get him axed from GMB.

But, for all his critics, Piers also has plenty of fans and they have been left frustrated by his absence this week, particularly with everything that's gone on with Dominic Cummings.

Piers has been replaced by Ben Shephard, but plenty of people watching at home feel Piers' no nonsense approach is required as Boris Johnson's chief adviser's actions have sparked a massive public outcry.

One tweeted: " @piersmorgan been up nice and early to watch you on GMB - where the hell have you gone??!!" and another reacted: "where’s @piersmorgan when you need him?"

Unfortunately Piers fans, you won't see him back on GMB this week but, you don't have too long to wait as he will be back behind the desk on Monday, June 1.

Piers' co-host Susanna Reid has also been on a break from presenting duties and even Doctor Hilary Jones is having some time off, being replaced by Doctor Mark Porter.
