When is 'One Battle After Another' coming to streaming? Here's our best guess

Leonardo DiCaprio in One Battle After Another.

"One Battle After Another" has arrived, and it looks like we might have a new frontrunner for favorite movie of the year (sorry, "Sinners"). The latest feature from Paul Thomas Anderson follows Bob (Leonardo DiCaprio), a washed-up revolutionary who lives off-grid with his daughter (Chase Infiniti).

When Willa disappears, and his old nemesis resurfaces, the former radical sets off to find her... and a thrilling odyssey ensues (one that's debuted to rave reviews). At the time of writing, this epic action thriller/political thriller is sitting at a 96% critics' score on the review aggregate site, Rotten Tomatoes, and it's brought in more than $22 million at the box office in its opening weekend (the best-ever opening for a PTA release, per Deadline).

If you're skipping the movie theater and waiting to watch "One Battle After Another" at home, we don't yet have a confirmed digital release date for the new movie. But if you're trying to plan your viewing anyway, I've made a guess at when "One Battle After Another" will come to streaming services below.

When is 'One Battle After Another' coming to streaming?

"One Battle After Another" hit the big screen on Friday, September 26. That means, at the time of writing, the only way to see the new Paul Thomas Anderson epic is to head to your nearest movie theater.

If you want to watch "One Battle After Another" at home as soon as possible, the first place to stream it will be on Premium Video-on-Demand (PVOD) digital storefronts like Prime Video and Apple TV.

We don't have a confirmed digital release date yet, but I'd guess that "One Battle After Another" will come to PVOD storefronts at the end of October (possibly Oct. 28).

That's based on the fact that Warner Bros. typically releases its new movies on VOD about a month after they premiere (usually on Tuesdays): recent releases like "Superman," "Weapons" and "Final Destination: Bloodlines" all followed this pattern more or less, so it stands to reason "One Battle After Another" will, too.

As a Warner Bros. movie, we can expect "One Battle After Another" to stream on HBO Max before it heads anywhere else. While we don't know when you'll be able to watch Leo's latest effort on HBO Max, I'm predicting the movie will come to HBO Max in early December 2025.

Looking again at Warner's previous releases, you can see that HBO Max typically gets new Warner Bros. movies around two and a half months after their theatrical debut. "Superman" arrived on September 19, after a July 11 premiere, while "Sinners" dropped on July 4 (after premiering on April 18), and "A Minecraft Movie" made its HBO Max on June 20, two and a half months after it premiered on April 4.

Assuming "One Battle After Another" follows a similar release schedule, it could land at some point between December 5 and December 12 (seeing as new movies typically arrive on Fridays).

Of course, this is all speculation right now, as Warner Bros. has not confirmed a "One Battle After Another" streaming date yet. As soon as we get more info, we'll be sure to share it here, so keep checking back
