When is Nicola Sturgeon speaking - where to watch the update on coronavirus lockdown

Nicola Sturgeon will provide an update to the Scottish Parliament on coronavirus lockdown.

She is expected to announce Scotland is ready to move into phase three of her coronavirus recovery plan, potentially lifting a number of significant restrictions.

She said earlier this week she hopes to announce the move, which would allow pubs and restaurants to reopen to customers indoors and also allow hairdressers to reopen.

However, the First Minister's briefing will be slightly different and will be given to MSPs in the Scottish Parliament rather than in the daily press conference from the Scottish Government.

As a result, there will be no Scottish Government daily briefing, and Nicola Sturgeon will instead take question from MSPs in Holyrood about the government's response to the virus.

At her briefing yesterday, the First Minister confirmed yesterday a list of countries people could travel to or from without facing a 14-day quarantine on return to Scotland.

She is likely to face questions following the budget statement from the UK Government yesterday, which announced a VAT cut and 50% of takeaways and meals out for people across the UK.

The UK Government also announced a cut in stamp duty, and it is still to be confirmed if the Scottish Government will adopt a similar cut.

How to watch the First Minister's update

The update will be streamed live on the Scottish Parliament TV website. It will also be covered on the BBC Scotland channel.

What if I miss it?
