The First Minister will be giving a virtual update this afternoon following a rise in cases over Christmas.
Nearly 40,000 cases have been confirmed since December 25 with figures reaching their highest since the start of the pandemic.
The number of hospitalisations and deaths has not been available due to the public holidays.

What is Nicola Sturgeon likely to say?
It's likely that the First Minister will focus heavily on the case numbers which have been at the highest level ever seen in the pandemic.
8,252 cases were confirmed on December 25, 11,030 on Boxing Day, 10,562 on December 27, and 9,360 on December 28.
The Scottish Government has already stated that the actual number of infections is likely to much higher due to the number of people who haven't been tested or don't have symptoms.
There has not been an indication that further restrictions will be brought in before the next review.
What restrictions are currently in place?
From December 27, one metre social distancing rules were reintroduced in restaurants, pubs, cinemas, theatres, gyms, bowling alleys, museums, and snooker halls.
Venues will need to limit customers at any given time. Table service has also been brought back as well as protective screens and one-way systems.
Nightclubs have been asked to close unless they can operate table service and implement physical distancing. The measures will be reviewed in three weeks.
There should be no more than three households in any group when visiting any venues, including pubs, bars, and restaurants.
Face coverings continue to be required in indoor settings- unless you are medically exempt.
In hospitality, masks can be removed while dancing, drinking, and dining.
How long will the restrictions be in place?
Nicola Sturgeon announced during a statement to the Scottish Parliament before Christmas that the temporary measures would be reviewed after three weeks on Tuesday, January 11.
It is hoped that a short spell of restrictions will curtail the spike in Covid case numbers.
However, Professor Jason Leitch has said that we may not see a spike in cases until "around mid to late January, maybe even pushing into February".
