When is Newcastle vs Arsenal, is it on TV and what time is kick-off?

Newcastle finally get their 2019/20 Premier League campaign under way on Sunday when they take on Arsenal at St James' Park.

It is the start of a new dawn for Newcastle as Steve Bruce takes charge of his first competitive game.

Bruce has overseen three wins and one defeat since taking over as manager last month but knows this is where the real work begins.

A section of the club's supporters are threatening to boycott the game in protest of Mike Ashley's ownership of the club and Newcastle's task hasn't been made any easier with Arsenal the visitors on Sunday.

The Gunners will hope to qualify for the Champions League next season and will look to kickstart their push for a top four finish with a win on Tyneside.

When is Newcastle vs Arsenal?

The game will take place on Sunday, August 11, with the action getting under way at 2pm. It is one of three Premier League games taking place on Sunday.

Is Newcastle vs Arsenal on TV? How can I follow it live?

Yes, this one is on TV.

Both Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League will be broadcasting the game with coverage beginning on both channels at 1pm.

Failing that, you can follow all the action in our live match blog, with team news, live updates, reaction and analysis from St James' Park.

What are the injury concerns? Who is in the teams?

Newcastle will be without Florian Lejeune through injury while DeAndre Yedlin and Matt Ritchie are doubtful after their pre-season was disrupted through injuries.

New signings Joelinton, Allan Saint-Maximin, Jetro Willems and Emil Krafth will be available to make their competitive debuts for Newcastle.

Hector Bellerin, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Rob Holding are missing for Arsenal through injury, but the Gunners are hopeful new signings Nicolas Pepe and Dani Ceballos, as well as goalscorer Alexandre Lacazette, will be fit after picking up minor knocks.

Newcastle likely XI: Dubravka; Krafth, Schar, Lascelles, Fernandez, Willems; Hayden, Shelvey, S.Longstaff; Almiron, Joelinton

Arsenal likely XI: Leno; Maitland-Niles, Chambers, Sokratis, Monreal; Willock, Xhaka; Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Nelson, Aubameyang

Who is the ref?

For the second season in a row, Martin Atkinson will be the referee for Newcastle United's first game of the Premier League season.

The Yorkshire official was the man in the middle when United took on Tottenham at St. James' Park last August, while he also took charge of their 0-0 draw at home to Fulham last term.

What are the bookies saying?

Newcastle 7/2
