Mother's Day 2022 is fast approaching but you'd be forgiven for not knowing exactly when it is.
This is because Mothering Sunday doesn't have a set date and changes every year.
The reason for this is that the occasion moves in accordance with Easter, which is determined by the lunar calendar.

In 2021 Mother's Day fell a little earlier than usual but this year it will be celebrated near the end of March.

When is Mother's Day UK in 2022?
In the UK Mother's Day always falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent, which is exactly three weeks before Easter.
This year that date is Sunday, March 27.
Mother's Day shouldn't be confused with the day in America, which always falls in May.
