Last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were expecting a second child.

The couple made the announcement with a black-and-white photo, taken remotely, from photographer Misan Harriman.

"We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," a spokesperson said at the time.

An unnamed source told Us magazine Meghan has been pregnant since the fall and is expected to give birth this spring. Their first son, Archie, turns 2 in May.

“Harry and Meghan have always wanted a couple of kids — a little brother or sister for [their son],Archie, and they’re excitedly planning for the arrival of their bundle of joy,” the insider told the magazine. “It’s a dream come true. … Meghan fell pregnant again toward the end of last year. The baby is due at the end of spring.”

In an essay last November in The New York Times, Meghan revealed she had had a miscarriage.

“Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by few,” she wrote. “In the pain of our loss, my husband and I discovered that in a room of 100 women, 10 to 20 of them will have suffered from miscarriage. Yet despite the staggering commonality of this pain, the conversation remains taboo, riddled with (unwarranted) shame, and perpetuating a cycle of solitary mourning.”
