When is Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's second baby due?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey will air on ITV tonight.

The program, which aired on CBS in the USA yesterday, sees the Duke and Duchess of Sussex discuss their decision to quit the Royal Family, making several explosive allegations about The Firm in the process.

The couple also revealed that they are expecting a baby girl in the summer - a younger sister for their one-year-old son Archie.

Their daughter will be their last baby, as they do not plan to have any more children.

Here's everything we know about the pregnancy so far.

When is Meghan Markle's due date?

The Duchess of Sussex has not revealed her exact due date - but she has said that her baby daughter is due to be born in the summer.

Harry and Meghan first announced they were expecting another baby on Valentine's Day 2021 - 37 years to the day since Princess Diana announced she was pregnant with Prince Harry.

Will the baby be a US citizen?

Meghan and Harry's daughter will be a dual citizen of both the USA and the UK.

It looks overwhelmingly likely that she will be born in California, making her an American citizen.

But as the child of a British citizen, she will automatically qualify for UK citizenship as well.

Archie - who was born in London - is also a dual citizen. US rules state that the child of a married American and non-citizen will automatically qualify for citizenship as long as their American parent has been in the USA within five years.

Where will the baby be in the line of succession?

Harry and Meghan's daughter will be eighth in line to the throne, behind her grandfather Prince Charles, uncle Prince William, cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, father Prince Harry, and brother Archie.

She will overtake her great-uncle Prince Andrew, pushing him down into ninth place.

She will not be a Princess, just as her brother Archie is not a Prince.

Baby name odds

The news that Harry and Meghan are expecting a girl has got people excited about what they will decide to call her.

Oddschecker has Diana as the favourite, making it 4/1 she will be named after Harry's late mother.

Allegra is the second favourite, at 11/1, followed by Isabella at 12/1 and Alice and Abigail, both at 14/1.

Odds are 100/1 that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will name their daughter Kamala, after Vice President Harris, and 50/1 that she'll be named Oprah.
