The people of Glasgow are preparing for two bank holiday weekends next month, just in time for the summer weather to kick in.
Temperatures are set to reach 18C in Glasgow tomorrow and Friday before falling again to around 12C on Saturday and Sunday.
The current restrictions allow up to six people from up to six households, plus children under 12, to socialise outdoors.
This will be changed as of next Monday 26th, when mainland Scotland and islands at Level 4 are expected to move to Level 3. Islands at Level 3 will remain there until 17 May.
Given the progress of the vaccination programme in Scotland, by May 17th up to four people from two households can socialise indoors in a private home and up to six people from up to three households may socialise in an indoors public space.
When is the May Bank Holiday?
The first bank holiday in May will be on the 3rd, with the second bank holiday weekend set to be on Friday 28 May 2021 and Monday, 31 May 2021.
The rules are still in place that you should not leave the UK for non-essential purposes.
Private, self-catered getaways are at the top of the travel wish list right now and are the most desirable kind of holiday when restrictions allow.
