When is Jesy Nelson Odd One Out documentary on TV and what channel is it on?

Little Mix star Jesy Nelson will bare her soul in a new BBC documentary which documents her struggles with mental health and body image which led to a heartbreaking suicide attempt when she just couldn't take on anymore.

Jesy first shot to fame when she was thrown together as one of Little Mix on The X Factor in 2011. First named Rhythmix; Jesy, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and South Shields girls Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards, the girls went on to win the show, becoming the first group to do triumph.

But behind the scenes, Jesy was the subject of vile abuse from online trolls, which carried on well after Little Mix's win and came to a head when the girls returned to The X Factor to perform in 2013.

Jesy admits she starved herself for a week before the performance only to still get a torrent of online abuse, including one from Katie Hopkins that read "Packet Mix have still got a chubber in their ranks. Less Little Mix. More Pick n Mix."

Comments like that took their toll on Jesy, which led to an attempt to take her own life.

She will open up about her struggles in , which will also feature her Little Mix bandmates and boyfriend Chris Hughes.

When is Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out on TV?

The documentary will air on BBC1 at 9pm on Thursday, September 12.
