When is Fortnite's next update? Korra and Midas quests, Lego vehicles, and Nike collab expected

Fortnite is getting a major update today (Tuesday, March 26) that will give players new items and quests on its three biggest modes.

Epic Games is capping off a busy March with even more content for the multiplayer game following the launch of Chapter 5 Season 2 and the Rise of Midas limited time mode.

Here’s what we know about the next update, titled version 29.10, including its release date.

Fortnite update release date

Fortnite will be updated on Tuesday, March 26.

On Tuesday morning, players reported that the matchmaking servers were down at around 8am GMT, ahead of the update, which is the usual routine when these updates take place.

Players can expect the game to be down for a couple of hours as is the norm whenever new content is added.

Epic has announced that new content will be added to Lego Fortnite on March 26 – more on that below.

Fortnite update: new items, quests, and cosmetics

The same leakers have also revealed some of the exciting new goodies that are coming to Fortnite in version 29.10.

So far, the list includes new quests, cosmetics, items that span Battle Royale, Lego Fortnite and Rocket Racing, and a collaboration with Nike

Battle Pass additions

Starting with the Battle Pass, Epic will reveal the quests and cosmetics related to Korra, the titular character in the Legend of Korra animated show who is set to appear in the game as a purchasable outfit on April 2. A second variant of Korra may also be added to Fortnite, according to leaker iFireMonkey.

In addition, Super Styles will be released for the Battle Pass, which are essentially bonus rewards that players can unlock. And, an Ares Crew Pack will be added to the slew of items you can get by playing the game.

With the Rise of Midas mode recently kicking off, expect more quests, items and cosmetics for the secret agent. These could include a Banana of the Gods consumable and a Midas Drum Gun for separate quests. Ascendant Midas cosmetics will also be fully added to the Fortnite Shop, and handed out as a tournament prize.

Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing and more

Elsewhere, Lego Fortnite is expected to release its Mechanical Mayhem update with Lego parts that let you build drivable vehicles, including a steering wheel, wheels and headlights and bumpers.

Meanwhile, Rocket Racing will add a new Masamune Car and decals, a magic missile boost and a friction trail.

Finally, word is that a new Nike collaboration is on the way, following the brand’s first Fortnite experience last June. Dubbed Airphoria Volume 2, the collab will likely feature new skins and emotes.
