When is Christmas Jumper Day 2021: Everything you need to know about when it is and how to take part

No longer the Christmas season's fashion faux pas, festive jumpers have become an essential for office parties as well as the big day itself.

But Christmas Jumper Day is the time when more people seem to simultaneously throw on the green and red knitwear, decorated with reindeer, snowmen and Father Christmas.

It is organised by children’s charity Save the Children. The charity provides help and assistance to children in the UK and all over the world.

Since its launch in 2012, the event has raised more than £27 million.

A host of celebrities have given their support to this year’s Christmas Jumper Day, including Holly Willoughby, Emma Bunton, James Blunt and Katie Piper.

When is Christmas Jumper Day?

The annual Christmas Jumper Day fundraising campaign will take place on Friday, December 10.

And this year marks the tenth Christmas Jumper Day, so it's a pretty big milestone for the charity.

But if you're busy on Friday, or it's just not the day to don a Christmas jumper then never fear - you can wear your festive knitwear on another day that suits you, just don't forget to donate.
