When is Children in Need this year? Where to watch and how to get involved

Children in Need is returning to our screens this year with a star-studded cast and even a new theme.

The biggest fundraiser of the year celebrates its 41st event in 2021.

Hoping to raise millions, the charity supports worthy causes throughout Scotland, the UK and further afield raising money for over 3,900 charities and projects.

Raising a huge £37 million last year, it is hoped that this year will raise even more so that further projects can get that vital boost they need.

But when is the show and how can we all get involved?

When it is this year?

This year's Children in Need will air on Friday, November 19.

The live fundraiser will broadcast on BBC One and BBC Two from 7pm.

Children in Need said the show will be, "a jam-packed evening of entertainment" with a familiar faces presenting and starring in sketches to raise as much money as possible.

What is this year's theme?

The theme for this year’s Children in Need is ‘Together, We Can’.

The ethos behind the theme urged everyone to get together and do as much as possible to change the lives of children and young people who need us most.

Whether it be providing funding for vital services or supporting charities and life changing projects.

How do you get involved?

There are lots of different ways to get involved in this year's Children in Need.

You can pre-order a free fundraising pack that includes everything you need to get started with your own fundraising - from ideas to posters, stickers and bunting.

You can order the kit here.

A dress up day, dressing down day or a bake sale are great ways to get involved. You can also take part in the Children in Need sweepstake to help raise some money.
