When is Children in Need 2019 and how can you donate?

The Great British Bake Off is coming to an end, Strictly is in full swing and there are whisperings of Christmas adverts soon to appear on our television screens.

Which means it is also that time of year where the nation is united in its efforts to raise money for the BBC's charity Children in Need. Whether it is through events at schools or work, supporting celebrities through crazy challenges or holding a Bring and Buy sale.

This year's Appeal show will air on November 15 from 7:3pm and feature a whole host of familiar faces Tess Daly, Ade Adepitan, Graham Norton, Mel Giedroyc and Marvin and Rochelle Humes. Plus, comedian Tom Allen will also be taking on hosting duties this year as he joins the BBC Children in Need presenting line-up for the first time.

Also this year, celebrities including Olivia Colman, Helena Bonham Carter and Jim Broadbent have performed cover of songs significant to them for an album. Got It Covered will be released on November 1 and is available for pre-order now.

Last year the show raised a record-breaking £50.6milllion and no doubt the BBC will be hoping to beat in 2019.

There are various ways to fundraise including hosting a Masterchef style dinner party, holding a bake sale or hosting a BBC Children in Need quiz especially written for this year. You could even try and do all three.
