When is Cardiff Bay Beach open for summer 2019?

In Wales we are spoilt for choice when it comes to beautiful beaches and many of us are within driving - or even walking - distance of some stunning coastline.

But now those in Cardiff can can enjoy the thrills and spills of the seaside without leaving the city this summer as the urban beach makes a comeback.

Cardiff Bay Beach will be open to the public at Roald Dahl Plas from Saturday, July 20 to Sunday, September 8 and it will be free to enter, although there will then be charges for various attractions.

As well as the sandy beach and a water play area, there will be a variety of fairground rides, entertainment, food and drink.

It's open from 10am to 8pm from Sundays to Thursdays and 10am to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
