When is Carabao Cup semi-final draw? Manchester United and Man City hope to be in the hat

Manchester United and Manchester City have been given the details for their potential Carabao Cup semi-final draw, which takes place this week.

United, who host Colchester United on Wednesday, have a strong chance of sealing their spot in the competition's final four, with City also likely to be in the hat as they tackle Oxford United.

Providing they progress, both sides would discover their fate soon after the conclusion of their matches on Wednesday, with the draw being held live on Sky Sports after City's clash with Oxford United.

Sky Sports pundit and former Leeds United midfielder Chris Kamara will be hosting the draw, alongside former Chelsea captain Dennis Wise.

The other quarter-final ties being played this week see Liverpool tackle Aston Villa, although Liverpool are set to play a much-changed side due to their participation in the Club World Cup in Qatar, while Leicester City face Everton.

Fixtures for the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals are scheduled to take place in the week commencing 6 January, with the second leg to take place week commencing 27 January.
