The annual discount tornado that is Black Friday is nearly over, but there’s still a plenty of time left on the clock to bag some of this year’s unmissable deals.
Contrary to its name, Black Friday isn’t just a one day affair. The sales spill over into the weekend and finish in spectacular style on the following Monday, known as Cyber Monday.
So, to answer the question ‘how long does Black Friday last’ - it’s for four glorious bargain-hunting days.
This is traditionally the time to make your move on all things tech, so if you’ve been waiting for the price to plummet on a new TV set, air fryer, vacuum cleaner, or handset, now’s your moment to pounce.
This year Cyber Monday takes place on November 28.
That said, retailers often like to use the entire Black Friday weekend as a gateway to wider Christmas sales. December 1 is on Thursday this year, nudging open the door to Christmas shopping, so there’s always further opportunities to tick off your present-buying list - although admittedly not as cost-effectively as on Black Friday.
Cyber Monday is also usually final call for flight and travel deals. We’ve found plenty of tantalising globetrotting deals from carriers across the board: think British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, easyJet, Ryanair and more. Trainline is offering cheap rail seats, making seeing friends and family around the UK even easier.
Meanwhile Booking.com, Marriott and Loveholidays have lowered the cost of hotel rooms, so it’s never been more appealing to get away, whether on a staycation or somewhere further afield.
