BBC drama Waterloo Road is returning to the BBC after being axed in 2015. The school-based drama ran from 2006 to 2015 and now it's about to make it's long-awaited comeback.
Fans were gutted when the show was cancelled and many were very happy to see the news that the show would be returning to help ‘boost drama production skills’ in northern England, as the show will be set and filmed in Greater Manchester.
The BBC said: “Waterloo Road will use its rich history of telling entertaining and gripping human stories while tackling the important issues of the day."
But when is the series on TV? Waterloo Road will return to BBC1 on Tuesday, January 3 at 8pm.
Among the stars of the show are returning cast members who are reprising their former roles and characters, including Coronation Street star Kym Marsh will star as dinner lady Nicky Walters, Angela Griffin will be back as Kim Campbell, Katie Griffiths back as Chlo Charles, and Adam Thomas back as Donte Charles.
