This is My House first started on our screens back in Spring, 2021 and with the return of the guessing game for a new celebrity special on BBC One this week, many viewers may be wondering if and when the series will return for a new full series.
The six-part first series was hosted by Stacey Dooley and saw a panel of celebrity judges - Bill Bailey, Emily Atack, Jamali Maddix and Judi Love, who were joined weekly by guests including Joe Sugg, Jimmy Carr, Katie Pipe and more - try to guess in a one-hour episode who out of the four contestants was telling the truth and which three were bluffing. It averaged 2.8 million viewers across the series and the BBC revealed it was mainly popular with younger audiences specifically under 35s. So will This is My House be returning for a full series? Here's all the information we have so far:
When is This is My House back on BBC One?
Good news for fans of the series, the BBC confirmed back in November, 2021 that This is My House would return for a second series in 2022 but with a slightly new format. It will return for 10 episodes - instead of the original six - and the one-hour format is being scrapped as the episodes become shortened to 30 minutes.
No date for airing the second series has been confirmed just yet and the BBC has also not confirmed if the same judges will return or if Stacey Dooley will be reprising her role as host of the series. Although it was reported by Broadcast in November, 2021 that she "will not return to steer proceedings, with each episode’s four participants using a series of VTs".
