When is Autumn Sounds returning to Dublin and who will be playing?

Popular classical music event Autumn Sounds is set to return to Dublin this year.

Musician Duo Chagall will be playing alongside the Fingal Ensemble in four different venues across Fingal including the Grand Hotel in Malahide, Ardgillan Castle, Draiocht and Farmleigh House in the Phoenix Park during September.

Duo Chagall features the celebrated partnership of Fingal-born violinist Gillian Williams and French cellist Arun Rao.

Gillian will lead the Ensemble in Vivaldi’s famous Four Seasons in Malahide and Draiocht, while the performances at Ardgillan Castle and Farmleigh will feature the Italian guitarist Marco Ramelli, Gillian and Arun along with other guests in chamber music of a distinctly Latin flavour.

The events will take place at the following days and times:

The Grand Malahide on September 7 at 8.30 pm

Ardgillan Castle on September 8 at 4 pm

Draiocht on September 12 at 7.30 pm (pre-booking required)

Farmleigh on September 13 at 8 pm

Sarah O’Neill, deputy arts officer for Fingal County Council, said: “It is important for us to make sure that Fingal residents have access to art and culture and bringing Autumn Sounds to Blanchardstown, Malahide and Ardgillan as well as its traditional home in Farmleigh is a positive move that will give more people an opportunity to hear these accomplished musicians.”
