When is Amazon's Prime Day Live and how to watch for free?

Amazon Prime Day is usually known for its discount deals on appliances and household goods, but the company have introduced a separate day focussing on live music.

Amazon Prime Day Live will see a line-up of performers play a concert specifically for charity, hosted by the online retail giant.

The weekend of price drops will go ahead later in June - however this event will see a gig streamed for free.

Find out everything you need to know here.

When is Amazon Prime Day Live?

Amazon Prime Day Live starts at 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 16.

The free concert will be available to all Amazon customers to stream live, and will see musical acts unite to raise money for charity.

What is Prime Day Live in support of?

The proceeds of Prime Day Live will be distributed between various charities, including:

  • YoungMinds

  • Making Me

  • Together for Mental Wellbeing

On the day, Amazon will double the charitable donations Prime members make through the Smile programme.

This means that 1% (rather than 0.5%) of customers' overall purchase total will be given to a charity of their choice.

Who is performing at Prime Day Live?

Headlining Prime Day Live is Brit Number 1 album holder Tom Grennan, as he prepares for an in-person tour later this year.

The star currently has a new single out with Calvin Harris, By Your Side - following up on his immensely popular Little Bit of Love EP from earlier in 2021.

Also performing a thirty minute set is TikTok fave Mimi Webb, who is expected to playing tracks from her upcoming EP. The Before I Go star went viral last year for her acapella duet with Charli D'Amelio in a New York restaurant, so it seems her inclusion will be a highlight for online teens.

London-based lyricist Shaybo will also feature at the event later in the night, which is set to be a must-see for rap fans.

The concert will be attended by a small live audience, made up of guests from the recipient charities.

How to watch Amazon Prime Day Live

Amazon Prime Day Live will stream on Twitch at www.twitch.tv/amazonmusicuk at 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 16.

You can also watch the event on the Amazon Music app.
