What time are A-level results released in 2020?

The coronavirus pandemic has completely changed college and sixth form leavers plans to end the academic year.

Many students were expecting to gear up for summer A level exams as they prepared for the next step of their education or set out to start dream careers.

But what does remain the same is results day, despite exams being cancelled in the midst of the virus outbreak.

Students in England will get their A level and AS level results on Thursday August 13, the same day it was originally planned for.

The experience of finding out the news is also expected to be familiar as students will be able to pick up their results from their school or college on the day.

The exam board usually has the results ready from 6am on the day itself but it will be the school or college that will determine the pick-up time.

The reason result day hasn't changed is because the government says: "This will enable progression to higher and further education to take place in the normal way.

"It will also allow students time to decide whether they wish to sit exams in the autumn, and to prepare for those exams if necessary."
