The web, it appears, is abuzz with the news that Forbes magazine has compiled its list of hot royals.
Suddenly, the fifth busiest search on Google Trends, which monitors a day's popular Google searches, is Princess Tsuguko.
The princess is a cousin to the Japanese emperor, and Forbes tells us she is studying at Edinburgh.
Google Trends monitors sudden changes in search volume, rather than raw numbers of searches, to eliminate the background hum of searches for vulgar commoners such as Paris Hilton. This may be the reason why our own Windsor clan - who take the top five places on the Forbes list - don't make it on to the list.
But the Trends are not without their insights. People who searched for, say, "sheikh hamdan bin mohammed bin rashid al maktoum" today have also been searching for "princess theodora, princess iman bint al hussein, prince wenzeslaus, princess sirivannavari, princess madeline".
One assumes that this is people who have read the Forbes list and are now window-shopping to see which of the hot royals they want to bag for themselves.
But if you still haven't decided whether to court Princess Victoria of Sweden or her brother Prince Carl Philip, you can browse Forbes's picture gallery. Good luck.
