When Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon will arrive at Tottenham training ground to seal transfers

Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon are set to arrive at Tottenham's Hotspur Way training complex early on Friday afternoon to complete their moves from Real Madrid.

The duo have both been undergoing their medicals in the Spanish capital as well as having the obligatory MRI scans and COVID-19 testing required before they can travel to the UK.

As elite sportsmen, the two new Spurs recruits are exempt from the isolation rules of normal travellers but had to still undergo those tests in order to travel.

Both Bale and Reguilon were set to depart Madrid on a private plane at 10am and are expected at Luton Airport at just after 11.30am.

The pair will then be whisked straight to Spurs' Hotspur Way training complex in Enfield to complete the formalities of their moves to north London in the early afternoon, before they are unveiled later on Friday.

Bale will be returning to Tottenham on loan, with the north London club picking up what amounts to roughly 40 per cent of the 31-year-old's wages, with Real continuing to pay the rest.

football.london understands that the Welshman's loan will be initially for one season, but with the option for a second year.

Reguilon joins on a permanent deal for around £28million.

Such was Tottenham's desire to get the deal done for the 23-year-old left-back, they uncharacteristically agreed to Madrid's stipulation that a buy-back clause be inserted that they can sign the defender back, with Spurs making a healthy profit on the sale.

The two new recruits will bolster Jose Mourinho's squad, adding to the signings of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty during this window.

Tottenham are understood to still be looking for a new striker and a centre-back in the remaining weeks of the window.
