When Fabianski, Arnautovic and Rice will return to pre-season training with West Ham

The majority of West Ham's first team squad will report for pre-season training at Rush Green on July 1 before quickly packing their bags and heading off to Switzerland for a training camp in the Alps.

A few of the first team won't be there as they will have been playing for their countries over the summer months, while others are still playing in international tournaments.

Fabian Balbuena's stay at the Copa America has been extended after Paraguay scraped through to the last eight on Monday night as a best third-place finish thanks to Ecuador's 1-1 draw with Japan. Arthur Masuaku is also still on international duty with the DR Congo team at the Africa Cup of Nations.

New recruit Pablo Fornals is also still in international action for Spain's U21s as they have qualified for the final four of the European Championships, with their semi against France being played on Thursday night and a potential final against either Romania or Germany on Sunday.

Any player who has not been involved in international action this summer will return to the training ground next Monday where they will be weighed, medically tested and also put through some very very light training paces.

But for the trio who have played internationally this summer but now finished, Declan Rice, Marko Arnautovic and Lukasz Fabianski, they will get an extra week off and will report to Switzerland instead on July 7 , midway through the training camp in Bad Ragaz.

Arnautovic and Fabianski played in Euro 2020 at the start of the summer while Rice was part of the England squad that featured in the Nations League Finals in Portugal.

For the likes of Balbuena, Fornals and Masuaku, they are set to miss the entire Swiss camp as they will have at least a 21-day break after their participation in their respective tournaments has finished. Those three are not likely to feature for the Hammers in pre-season until the friendly against Fulham at Craven Cottage on July 27 at the earliest.
