When exactly forecasters predict Leeds will be hit with thunderstorms

Warnings are still in place for Leeds to experience thunderstorms and heavy rain in the coming hours.

Forecasters did have Sunday down for the torrential weather to hit - that didn't happen but the yellow warning remains active.

There is a 'high chance' of downpours in Leeds between 11am and 6pm, according to the Met Office.

Top temperatures of 20°C and bouts of thunder are also expected with the warning in place now until midnight tonight.

It's not all doom and gloom though with , rising the mercury to 30°C!

The warning also states: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.

"There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life. Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services."
