When are Euro 2020 yellow cards wiped out and will players miss the final?

Any player who receives their second tournament booking in the semi-final will not miss the final.

Italy booked their spot at Wembley for this Sunday's final with their penalty shootout win over Spain on Tuesday night, while England take on Denmark on Wednesday to decide who joins them.

Thankfully, from the players' perspectives, the semi-finals represents an amnesty period in which yellow cards collected are wiped off the records.

Any player who had a booking to their name going into the semi-finals had their disciplinary record reset, meaning if they were to be booked in the last four, they would not miss the final should their team progress.

This means that, for England, the likes of Phil Foden, Harry Maguire, Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice enter the semi-final with no jeopardy of missing the final if the yellow card is brandished again. The same goes for the four Denmark players on yellows.

In fact, the only way a player can now miss the final is if they are shown a red card.

Rafael Toloi and Leonardo Bonnucci were both given yellow cards for Italy on Tuesday evening, however no Italian players were sent off, meaning Roberto Mancini will have a full squad to pick from for the final.
