When Elon Musk's Starlink satellites will be visible in the sky after today's launch

There will be another opportunity to catch a glimpse of Elon Musk's Starlink satellites this week.

It comes after Elon Musk’s firm successfully launched another 60 Starlink satellites into orbit this morning on board a Falcon 9 rocket, before landing the rocket booster back on Earth.

The rocket launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida just after 10am (BST).

This is the ninth batch of Starlink satellites, bringing the total number in orbit to more than 500, reports The Mirror.

Elon Musk hopes the satellites will bring low-cost internet to remote areas on Earth.

Starlink explained: “With performance that far surpasses that of traditional satellite internet, and a global network unbounded by ground infrastructure limitations, Starlink will deliver high speed broadband internet to locations where access has been unreliable, expensive, or completely unavailable.”

Here’s everything you need to know about the satellites and how to see them.

What time can you see the Starlink satellite display this weekend?

June 13: 1.10am, 1.27am, 3.03am, 10.33pm, 10.46pm

June 14: 12.09am, 12.27am, 2.03am, 3.38am, 10.55pm, 11.09pm, 11.27pm

June 15: 12.45am, 1.02am, 2.38am, 10.27pm, 11.06pm, 11.44pm

June 16: 12.02am, 1.38am, 3.14am

How to track the Starlink satellites

To track the satellites in real-time, you can visit the Find Starlink website.

The site allows you to view the satellites’ location in real-time on a map, or input your location to see exactly when the satellites will be visible from your home.

Results are filtered based on how bright the satellites will be, so make sure you're looking at those listed as ‘Bright’.
