When electricity should be back in each area as thousands affected by Dublin ESB outages

Thousands of people have been left in the dark as electricity has been cut in multiple parts of Dublin.

Malahide and Portmarnock are heavily affected for the second night in a row while there was chaos earlier as Liffey Valley Shopping Centre went lights-out on one of the busiest days of the year.

Finglas, Kimmage, Ballyfermot, and Tallaght have also had faults over the day.

ESB workers are currently working to fix different faults across Dublin and have apologised to those affected.

They said: "We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible."

Here's a list of all the current recorded faults (as of 6.20pm)

Malahide

Estimated restore time: 6.45pm

Kimmage (Kimmage Road)

Type of service interruption: Fault

Number of customers affected: 121

Start time: 3.45pm

Estimated restore time: 7.30pm

A further 20 customers on Clonard Road are also affected with service expected to resume by 6.30pm.

Oldbawn

Type of service interruption: Fault

Number of customers affected: 185

Start time: 4.25pm

Estimated restore time: 5.30pm (still not marked as solved)

North Quays

Type of service interruption: Fault

Number of customers affected: 20

Start time: 6.19am

Estimated restore time: 8pm
