When Dortmund will sell Jadon Sancho and more Manchester United rumours

Borussia Dortmund remain adamant that Jadon Sancho will not be sold to Manchester United with just one week remaining in the transfer window - reports suggest.

Sancho remains United's top target but time is running out to complete a deal for the England international. United have made just one major signing this summer, the £40million addition of Donny van de Beek from Ajax, ahead of next week's October 5 deadline.

MEN Sport understand the Reds reached a breakthrough in negotiations over personal terms and agents fees for the England international but are still to meet Dortmund's £108million valuation of their star forward. They remain hopeful that can complete a deal ahead of next week's deadline.

However, Sky Sports claim Dortmund will not entertain any offers. They report Dortmund will not allow Sancho to leave even if United up their offer to match their valuation, insisting a transfer "is not happening" this summer.

The Bundesliga side believe they are under no pressure to sell and believe they can generate more transfer funds next summer when the market may have recovered following the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, they expect more clubs to be interested in the forward which could drive his price up.

Elsewhere, reports claim United could look to re-sign Bournemouth star Joshua King if they fail to sign Sancho before the deadline.

The 28-year-old was a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the January transfer window but United failed to reach an agreement with the Cherries, opting to sign Odion Ighalo on loan instead.

King stated he is still hopeful he can return to Old Trafford and talkSPORT report United are monitoring his situation. Premier League clubs can trade with clubs in the EFL until October 16 meaning a deal could be completed past Monday's deadline.

MEN Sport understand King is not a priority target.
