When does Zara's Boxing Day sale start? Discount and savings shoppers can expect

Christmas Day is finally here but for some people, all thoughts have turned to the Boxing Day sales.

Many stores introduce a range of deals and special offers as the festive period draws to a close, allowing shoppers to bag some extra bargains.

High street giant Zara is incredibly popular among fashion fans and shoppers alike, with queues to get in its stores often stretching around buildings.

In Liverpool, it is arguably one of the most popular shops in the city centre. Many shoppers will be hoping the retailer will be taking part in this year's Boxing Day sales.

Like previous years, Zara remained tight lipped about its plans when approached by the ECHO but said, "as a general rule", the company does "not communicate the sales prior to them going live".

It's worth bearing in mind that this year Boxing Day falls on a Sunday, so don't expect stores to be open as early as usual. Still, we are expecting the popular retailer to offer some decent discounts in its Boxing Day sale.

Last year saw Zara kick off its Boxing Day sale early, with a queue so long it stretched around the corner, past Starbucks and running alongside the huge steps in Liverpool ONE.

In previous years, Zara's much-loved sale has gone live at around 10pm on Christmas Day. Zara's website usually offers a heads-up on when the discounts will drop as its site closes for a short while while it prepares.

In previous years, Zara has offered savings on a range of departments including womenswear, menswear and homeware.
