The weather might have been mixed over the past few days but The Hoppings - which has become well used to changeable conditions over the years - is finally enjoying some sunshine.
And that is set to continue over the weekend which means crowds are expected to take full advantage of all the fun of the fair on Newcastle Town Moor.
While fans of the annual treat rarely let a bit of drizzle put them off their usual visit, the merest hint of sunshine makes all the difference to how much they enjoy the rides and stalls - and the good news is that this weekend it set to be hot.

The opening hours for this Friday and Saturday will be 1pm to 11pm.
