When does Paramount Plus launch in UK, how much does it cost and what's on it?

The streaming wars continue to heat up as Paramount is dropping its own competitive platform this week, rivalling Netflix.

Offering a massive selection of Paramount’s film and TV back catalogue, Paramount Plus looks set to change the landscape of streaming in the country.

Viewers have been able to access the site for over a year in the USA and unless you have a VPN, it has remained completely inaccessible in the UK until now.

From Star Trek to Mission: Impossible, there are plenty of franchises that are coming to the service.

Here is everything you need to know about Paramount Plus ahead of its UK launch.

When does Paramount Plus launch in the UK?

Star Trek is coming to the platform (PARAMOUNT)

Just over one year since the platform launched in the USA, Paramount Plus is coming to the UK this month.

It will be accessible in the UK and Ireland on June 22, with it also coming to South Korea on the same day before launching in Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria later this year.

The platform was formally known as CBA All Access but went through a rebrand to help it appeal to younger audiences.

How much does Paramount Plus cost in the UK?

Yellowstone will be available on Paramount Plus (Paramount)

The cost of Paramount Plus is coming in at the competitive price of £6.99 per month, or £69.90 per year.

There is also a seven-day free trial for new subscribers.

The package will include all the content available, so there is no need to worry about tiered packages like other subscription services.

What content is available on Paramount Plus from launch?

The Mission: Impossible films are also coming to Paramount Plus (Christian Black)

For UK subscribers, Paramount Plus will launch with a heap of content that was previously only available to viewers in the UK.

The biggest show is the new Halo series, which only premiered for the first time in the States a couple of months ago.

Based on the massively popular Xbox game franchise of the same name, the show follows the exploits of the Master Chief and his war against The Covenant.

One of Paramount’s most popular shows is also coming to the UK, Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone.

Starring Kevin Costner, it follows a family of modern-day ranchers in the scenic Yellowstone National Park.

Its popular prequel series is also coming, 1883, which tells the story of the ranch’s origins.

The Yellowstone-verse is only increasing with another prequel, 1923, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren coming to the UK service later down the line.

There is also The Offer, The First Lady, Tulsa King and Major of Kingstown coming at launch.

Another brand under the Paramount banner includes Paramount Pictures, which promises to bring the immensely popular Top Gun: Maverick to the platform soon.

For kids, there is Nickelodeon, which includes the flagship children’s cartoon, SpongeBob SquarePants.

The back-catalogues of MTV, Comedy Central and SHOWTIME will also be available at launch, meaning the is a massive amount of titles to choose from.
