The national lockdown comes to an end this week, with England moving into a tiered system, but many people aren't sure of the exact date and time the lockdown comes to an end.
From December 2, the national lockdown restrictions will be lifted and replaced with tiered restrictions, which apply in different parts of the country.
The government website states: "The new rules will come into effect from the beginning of Wednesday 2 December."
This means on that date, the reopening of pubs, bars, and restaurants is subject to the Government's tiered alert system, so only selected businesses will be able to open their doors.
The Government announced last week that Liverpool would be placed into Tier 2 , which means that restaurants, salons, cinemas, theatres and more can reopen their doors on Wednesday, December 2.
What are the rules in tier 2?
In Tier 2, pubs and bars must close unless they can operate as a restaurant, while hospitality venues can only serve alcohol alongside “substantial meals”.
Hospitality businesses selling food and drink to be consumed on their premises must provide table service only if serving alcohol, must close between 11pm and 5am and stop taking orders after 10pm.
Those selling food and drink for consumption off the premises can continue to do so after 10pm as long as this is through delivery, click and collect or drive-through.
Many businesses operating in Tier 2 must also close their doors early, at 11pm, including casinos, cinemas, theatres, museums, bowling alleys, amusement parks, funfairs, theme parks and bingo halls.
Cinemas, theatres and concert halls can stay open beyond 11pm in order to conclude performances that start before 10pm.
