After weeks of closure due to the coronavirus we now know the date IKEA will reopen its Warrington store.
The popular homeware retailer closed all stores across England on March 20 just before the country went into lockdown.
For the last few weeks rumours have been circulating about when it will reopen with reports suggesting it would be back open on Monday, May 18.
But that date came and went and despite other retailers including Dobbies, B&Q and Matalan reopening some stores in England, IKEA remained closed.
Now the Swedish retailer has confirmed the news shoppers have been patiently waiting for.
In an message on its website IKEA has confirmed it will be back open from Monday, June 1.
The retailer said: “We're re-opening our doors soon: here's what you need to know. We’re excited to announce that from 1st June we will be welcoming you back to our IKEA stores in England and Northern Ireland.
”Of course, the safety of our customers and co-workers remains the highest priority so we have been working hard to welcome you back safely.
“We’ve introduced new measures so you can enjoy a safe and comfortable shopping experience.
”So we hope to be saying a socially-distanced ‘hej’ to you soon.”
