When does FIFA 22 come out? Release dates for Ultimate Edition and Standard Edition

The wait for FIFA 22 is almost over for FIFA fans, but when does the game officially come out in the UK?

EA Sports have already confirmed the official release date for FIFA 22, but the date players can actually get hands-on with the new game is different depending on the edition of the game you purchase.

For the first time since FIFA 15, there will only be two editions of FIFA available for pre-order or purchase - the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition. Previous years such as FIFA 21 consisted of three - the Standard, Champion, and Ultimate Editions.

FIFA fans who pre-order or purchase the Standard Edition of FIFA 22 on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and Stadia will be able to access the game from the official UK release date, which is Friday, October 1, 2021.

Players who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 22 on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and Stadia are already able to play the game due to a four-day early access bonus, meaning players have full access to the game from Monday, September 27, 2021 .

The Standard Edition of FIFA 22 includes a number of bonuses but it does NOT include Dual Entitlement, which is the ability to upgrade from the PS4 or Xbox One version of the game to the next-gen PS5 or Xbox Series S/X version of the game.

But FIFA 22's Ultimate Edition does include Dual Entitlement, unlike the Standard Edition, as well as including more bonuses than the Standard Edition with the addition of 4600 FIFA points that can be used to purchase packs from the FUT Store, a Ones to Watch player item and a brand new FUT Heroes player item.

The Web App and Companion App access is available now for players that are returning from FUT 21, only for users whose accounts are in good standing and have created their FUT clubs before August 14, 2021, as well as only being applicable to the Ultimate Team mode.
