The third instalment in the EA Sports FC football simulation series is on its way to video game consoles around the world this month.
The new season of the popular football game will kick off with EA Sports FC 26, set to release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch (both 1 and 2), and PC.
It promises an overhauled game player experience, driven by community feedback on the previous game – even though it was the most successful entry in the franchise so far.
Some new features to the game, the replacement of Fifa, include fresh Manager Live Challenges for new plotlines and Archetypes inspired by both classic and modern-day footballing legends.
When does EA Sports FC 26 come out?
EA Sports FC 26 is due for release on September 26, 2025. However, some players will be able to kick off as much as a week earlier than other players.
Those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition of the game will be able to play seven days earlier, from September 19.
They’ll also benefit from a range of other bonuses, including:
- 6000 FC points spread across two months (or 4500 FC Points for Switch players)
- Season 1 of the Premium Pass
- Football Ultimate Team ICON Player Item
- Additional Player Evolution Slot in Football Ultimate Team
- One Archetype Unlock Consumable
- Two Double Archetypes XP Consumables for 10 matches

- Five-Star Coach in Manager Career
- Five-Star Youth Scout in Manager Career
- Manager Live Challenge Content
- One of five Player Pick 93+ OVR ICON (untradeable) for EA Sports FC 25 (excluding Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2)
- 99 Shooting Player Evolution for EA Sports FC 25 (excluding Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2)
There’s still time to pre-order the Ultimate Edition and gain access to the early access window, but with only six days before the pre-release gameplay begins on September 17, there’s not much time to waste.
