When does Dragons' Den series 19 start on BBC and who are the 2022 Dragons?

The Dragons are rearing their heads once again for another series in the Den, and this time there's a new face alongside them.

The investors will once again be looking for smart places to put their money, as a lineup of hopefuls try to secure vital funding for their ventures.

There will no doubt be big hits and a whole lot of misses, with the seasoned businesspeople sitting in the chairs unlikely to take any prisoners when it comes to their decisions.

In the past, the show has seen some now household names secure the funding they needed to take their business forward, including Levi Roots and his Reggae Reggae Sauce.

The sauce can now be brought in all major supermarkets, with the Sunday Times Rich list estimating that Levi's net worth has soared to an eye-watering £30,000,000.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that success on the show is a big deal.

What Dragons are on Dragon's Den in series 19?

Stalwarts Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden will be making a return for the new season.

They will be joined by Touker Suleyman and Sara Davies.

Alongside the returning faces will be a new Dragon making an appearance on the show - Steven Bartlett, who will be the youngest person to sit on the panel at just 29-years-old.

In an exclusive with the Mirror, he said: "Hanging out with Peter Jones – I thought we’d been best mates for 10 years. And Deborah was wonderful to me.

"I’ve got just the most respect for both of them, and the rest of the Dragons, but obviously I’ve been watching Deborah and Peter since I was 12, looking up at the screen, pausing Sky TV and pretending I was a Dragon.

"I was a bit of a fanboy. It’s just a tremendous honour."

He added: “I’m the new Dragon so I’m going to learn the ropes here, but when I look up, they’re shaking and you see on their faces what this means to them and I’m just Steve, just some normal guy pretending I’m a Dragon and I’m scary!"
