The daylight hours are about to get much longer in the nation's capital, with Daylight Saving Time just around the corner.
Canberrans will have to turn their clock forward by one hour at 2am on Sunday, October 6.

Daylight saving will last until April 5, 2020, where clocks will have to be turned back by one hour.
The ACT is one of five Australian jurisdictions to have Daylight Saving Time.
The clocks will also go forward in NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
