After a lot of speculation, ITV have finally confirmed when new quiz show Beat The Chasers will start.
Big cash prizes are up for grabs if contestants can outsmart the quiz veterans who have united to be what they say is 'the greatest quiz team on the planet.'
All five current Chasers will take part in The Chase's spin-off show, meaning Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty, Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace, Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett and Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha will be joining forces in the hope of outsmarting teams of contestants.
And we can reveal that Beat The Chasers will start on ITV on Monday, April 27 at 9pm.
Explaining the new series, host Bradley Walsh said: "“It is our daytime show, but in reverse! Usually you’ve got potentially four players taking on one Chaser, whereas this is one player taking on potentially all five Chasers and trying to beat them against the clock for big, big money."
Chaser Anne Hegarty added: “I think what everyone’s going to notice is how exciting it is! The game going back and forth between the Chasers and the contestants is like a tennis match.
"There are very close finishes – that was tremendously exciting.”
