ARC Raiders, being a live-service game, gets to enjoy continual updates and expanded content, and Cold Snap is the next significant content drop.
We've received the North Line update that brought us a new level, Stella Montis, and are about to get the Expeditions as well. But one thing on the roadmap remains in the air: the winter-themed Cold Snap update.
So, here's everything you need to know. As of writing, Embark has finally announced the release date for the upcoming update.
ARC Raiders Cold Snap release countdown
There have been plenty of speculations over when the Cold Snap update will be released. Embark has finally put those speculations to rest as the next ARC Raiders expansion will be available worldwide on Dec. 16. The following countdown will expire once the update goes live.
The countdown is based on the following timings.
- 2am PT
- 4am CT
- 5am ET
- 10am UTC
- 11am CET
Embark Studios has yet to clarify what Cold Snap will contain, but the roadmap does say the Snowfall weather condition will be part of it. Being winter-themed, we can expect more such elements that'll hopefully significantly alter how maps are played when covered in several inches of snow and ice.
Of course, new quests are coming, too, alongside the Flickering Flames event that's probably going to be a community-wide effort, much like the North Line one was. Details are still scarce, so we will update this article once more information becomes available.
In the meantime, you should prepare for the Expedition as it won't be easy by any means to leave Speranza for good.
