When do Man Utd next play? Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils return to action

There has been plenty of uncertainty over when Premier League sides will return to action following the postponement of all fixtures over the weekend, but Manchester United will step back onto the field sooner than most when they take on their European duties this week.

The Red Devils last featured in their disappointing 1-0 defeat to La Liga outfit Real Sociedad on Thursday (September 8) as they opened their 2022/23 UEFA Europa League campaign in Group E in the worst possible style.

But they have the chance to make amends when they return to action this week, with games against Sheriff Tiraspol and Leeds United scheduled over the next six days, before the international break takes place at the end of the month.

When do Man Utd play next?

Man United are back in action on Thursday, September 15 when they face Sheriff Tiraspol in a Europa League Group E fixture at Bolshaya Sportivnaya Arena in Tiraspol, Moldova.

This will be the first ever meeting between the two sides, with Sheriff competing in the group stage of this competition for the just the fifth time in their history, having made it through the play-off round, while this is United’s fourth ever appearance in the group stage.

The Red Devils suffered a losing start to Group E last week with a 1-0 defeat against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford, thanks to Brais Mendez’s 59th penalty, while Sheriff got off to the perfect start with a 3-0 victory over Cypriot oufti Omonia.

Will Man Utd pick up their first win of their Europa League campaign against Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Is Sheriff Tiraspol vs Man Utd on TV?

Yes. The match will be televised live on BT Sport 2, while there will also be a live stream service online via the BT Sport app and BT Sport website.

Coverage will begin at 5:15pm.

When do Man Utd return to Premier League action?

As it stands, the next round of Premier League fixtures are due to take place this weekend, between September 16-18, with Man United vs Leeds taking place on Sunday, September 18 at Old Trafford.

This could change, however, with the Queen's funeral - which is being held in London on Monday September 19 - expected to cause complications to the top-flight schedule due to policing.

The Red Devils’ last Premier League fixture took place on Sunday, September 4 when they defeated table-toppers Arsenal 3-1 on home soil, leaving them in fifth place after four consecutive victories from their first six games.

Is Man Utd vs Leeds on TV?

No. Surprisingly, the game has not been selected for live television coverage and will therefore be unable to stream in the UK, due to Brentford vs Arsenal and Chelsea vs Liverpool having already been picked up by Sky Sports on the same day.

Alternatively, highlights will also be available on Match of the Day 2 at 22:30 on BBC One, which is available to stream via iPlayer and the iPlayer app.
