When do Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield return to This Morning?

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are preparing to return to This Morning after being off-screen for summer.

The duo were replaced by Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford for six weeks but did not make a comeback as September kicked off, leaving many wondering when they would be back on the daytime programme.

September 1 saw the return of Susanna Reid to Good Morning Britain and Lorraine Kelly, who was replaced by Ranvir Singh and Christine Lampard during the long break, to Lorraine.

However, in a big presenting shake-up, This Morning confirmed there would be no Holly, Phil, Eamonn or Ruth this week, although Eamonn did return for Monday and Tuesday's show to stand in for Vernon Kay after he tested positive for Covid-19. You can read more on this here.

On Sunday night, Eamonn tweeted: "Just when u thought you'd got rid of me .... sickness with @AlisonHammond and @vernonkay means I'm off the bench.

"Get well soon to them but I have my Boots on and I'm ready to play . Monday and Tues line up is now myself and @RochelleHumes. Hope you can join us."

Wednesday saw Rochelle Humes and Alison Hammond present the show, with the pair set to return on Friday. Meanwhile, Andi Peters is set to make his This Morning presenting debut alongside Rochelle on Thursday.

When are Holly and Phil returning to This Morning?

ITV has confirmed the pair will be back on Monday, September 6 at 10am.

The presenting duo featured in a brand new trailer teased on ITV's social media platforms.

The short clip also includes hosts Good Morning Britain and Loose Women as well as Holly, Phil, Alison, Dermot, Ruth and Eamonn.

The caption reads: "Lighting up our screens this September!

"Join the This Morning family for a new season of programming weekdays from 10am on ITV, ITV Hub and STV."
