Waterford are set to compete in their third All-Ireland final since the turn of the century today as the Deise look to end a long wait for glory against Limerick at Croke Park.

They captured four Munster titles between 2002 and 2010 in a glory era for Waterford hurling - but younger followers of the sport may be surprised to learn that the Deise haven't claimed an All-Ireland title since way back in the 1950s.

When did Waterford last win the All-Ireland?

The Deise last captured the Liam MacCarthy Cup in 1959, when they defeated Kilkenny by 3-12 to 1-10 after a replay.

How many titles have the Deise won?

Waterford have been crowned All-Ireland Senior Hurling champions just twice in the history of the competition, with their first success coming in 1948.

They beat Dublin by 6-7 to 4-2 on that occasion.

When did they last reach the final?

Waterford got to the decider in 2017 - where they were beaten 0-26 to 2-17 by Galway.
