When Dani Ceballos could make his Arsenal debut after joining on loan from Real Madrid

Arsenal supporters are looking forward to seeing loan signing Dani Ceballos in action.

The midfielder's move from Real Madrid was officially confirmed on Thursday afternoon, making him the second of three new arrivals at the Emirates Stadium so far this summer.

Ceballos will wear the no.8 shirt - vacated by Aaron Ramsey following his free transfer to Juventus at the beginning of the month - and has already trained at London Colney.

The Gunners are back in action on Sunday as they host Ligue 1 outfit Lyon in the Emirates Cup.

But is Ceballos in contention to make his Arsenal bow? Well, as of yet a squad for the game is yet to be announced and the fact the attacking midfielder is back in training would suggest he could play some part.

However, it's important to note that he wasn't included in Real Madrid's squad for their America tour and this was because he given extra time off after representing Spain at the European U21 Championships earlier in the summer.

The final took place on June 30 and players competing in international tournaments this summer are being given three weeks off to recuperate before reporting for training.

Ceballos was due to report for pre-season training with Madrid this coming Monday (July 29th).

Therefore, if that's still the plan then he would miss the Lyon clash but could make his debut in the pre-season friendly against Angers next Wednesday or against Barcelona on August 4.

When speaking to Arsenal.com, Ceballos outlined role Unai Emery played in his decision to join the club.

"The coach was the turning point in terms of me joining this massive club," Ceballos said. "He’s a Spanish coach and he knows me from my time at other clubs.

"I’m really happy to be able to help Arsenal achieve our objectives.

"He’s a very tactical coach and I think that’s going to really help me to perfect my positioning. I think we’re both going to try our best to make me a better player."
