The United States international joined the club for £57.6million from Borussia Dortmund at the turn of the year but he remained in the Bundesliga on loan until the end of the campaign.
After making a quick visit to Stamford Bridge following the end of the league season, the 20-year-old then jetted off to represent his country in the Gold Cup.
That unfortunately ended up in defeat as the United States lost 1-0 in the final against Mexico last weekend.
With players involved in the tournament given time off before returning for pre-season training at their respective clubs, Pulisic is actually set to link up with his new teammates very soon rather than relax on holiday.
Frank Lampard's Chelsea team will now fly out to Japan after playing Bohemians and St Patrick's Athletic in their first two pre-season games in England.
Pulisic will actually join up with his new teammates early next week as he bids to make an instant impression at the club and in the Premier League.
Speaking after Saturday's 4-0 win over St Patrick's Athletic, Lampard revealed exactly when he will meet the attacker for the very first time.
"Christian joins us on Tuesday when we get there," said the new head coach. "He is flying in separately as he has had short break but fair play, he wanted to get there quickly which I appreciate. N’Golo [Kante] will be there."
Chelsea play Kawsaki Frontale in Yokohama on Friday in their first game in Japan, before then taking on La Liga champions Barcelona in Saitama four days later.
