Here is your Chelsea morning digest for Tuesday, September 1.
When Chelsea fans can expect Kai Havertz announcement
While Chelsea made three announcements in three days last week, there is one that Blues fans are still waiting for.
A move for Kai Havertz has been on the cards for several weeks, and while there hasn’t been an announcement just yet, Blues fans shouldn’t be worried.
The 21-year-old has now joined up with the Germany international side ahead of their fixtures against Spain and Switzerland.
And it appears that Havertz won’t be heading back to Bayer Leverkusen when he is done with the national side.
Chelsea submit fresh Mendy bid
Chelsea have reportedly launched a fresh bid to sign Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
After seeing an opening offer of £11million turned down for Mendy, the Blues have now lodged an improved bid of £18million to sign the 28-year-old.
That is according to Goal France, who also report that Rennes are determined to keep hold of Mendy this summer after a sequence of impressive performances last season.
Gallagher set for loan move
Conor Gallagher is set to join Crystal Palace on loan for the 2020/21 campaign.
The 20-year-old impressed during his time with Charlton Athletic and Swansea City last season, and is about to make the step up to the Premier League.
Several clubs were interested in taking the youngster on loan, however football.london understands Gallagher had a medical with the Eagles on Sunday.
The midfielder now looks set to follow in the footsteps of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Michy Batshuayi and make the switch to Selhurst Park.
