When Census day 2021 is as Brits warned they risk £1000 fine if they miss deadline

If there's one bit of life admin you need to be aware of right now, it's the 2021 Census.

Every 10 years people are asked to fill out a questionnaire about their household.

The huge survey, known as the Census, gives a picture of all the people and households living in England and Wales and ultimately helps organisations make decisions on planning and funding public services.

This year 'Census Day' is on Sunday, March 21.

This is basically the date you will have needed to fill in your Census questionnaire by - or risk a fine.

It is a legal requirement to supply the information and those who fail to complete it could be fined £1,000 as it is a criminal offence.

It is also a criminal offence to supply the incorrect information - so be sure to be accurate.

This year people are being asked to completed the Census online after receiving their letter which features a 16‑character access code.
