When Bristol bins will be collected during Easter 2019

I'm sure most people cannot wait to spend a four-day weekend eating chocolate eggs and not having to worry about being back at work on Monday.

But don't forget that Good Friday and Easter Monday are both public holidays which means there will be changes to some services.

Buses will be running on a revised timetable - so make sure you check before you travel. And for anyone who a prescription make sure you collect  it before the weekend - although there will still be many pharmacies open over the bank holiday.

What to do if your bins aren't collected

The only thing that won't be changing is your waste collection, so no need to worry about all that Easter Egg packaging as the bins will be collected as normal.

Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset collections will all be running on a normal timetable over the weekend.

Rubbish collectors work every Bank Holiday throughout the year, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

That means that for those people who have their waste collected on a Friday and Monday there will be no change this week.

Just put your black bin and /or recycling out as normal - depending on which week you are on.
