When Arsenal plan to launch a bid to sign Ryan Fraser to kick-start summer rebuild

Arsenal will step up their pursuit of Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser after the Europa League final next week.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with the Scotland international for some time now ahead of making a £20million swoop.

But Unai Emery wants to be solely focused on Arsenal's Europa League final clash with Chelsea in Baku before dipping his toes in the transfer market.

And now that Manchester United are out of the running to sign Fraser - the Red Devils have agreed personal terms with Swansea's Daniel James instead - Emery is confident he can wait a week before launching a bid to sign him.

Fraser, 25, recently spoke out about his future with the Cherries, and played down a move to the Emirates.

"I've got a year left. There's a very good chance I'll be here next season," he said. "If that's that then I'm going to try my best as I always do and I'll enjoy it.

"I love the group here and the fans. There's no bad side to what's happening.

"There's a good chance I'll be here next season and I'll try and beat my assists record next season as well."

But Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe previously suggested Fraser could leave, pointing out there are no guarantees he will sign a new deal.

Discussing Fraser, who is out of contract next season, Howe said: "We have spoken to Ryan and his representatives about his contract. It is one where we will see what happens.

"There is no doubting Ryan's quality and how highly we think of him. He is an outstanding talent but it is a two-way prospect to sign a contract, so let's wait and see.

"Ryan has contributed to the team this season but it's not the time to talk about speculation. Who knows in the summer? It is that time of year when things change and us ourselves will be looking to sign players."
